The batteries manufactured with the AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) process have the electrolytic solution absorbed by highly porous glass fibre separators located between the battery plates. The AGM batteries boast lower internal resistance, which gives higher terminal output voltages and longer life, especially at high discharge current values.
